‘Dave Season 2’
Watch this if you think you could beat me in a freestyle battle:
Guess who’s back, back again. Dave is back, call a friend. No, seriously, call everyone you know because one of my favorite shows of the Pandemic Times is back! In the first season, the show followed Dave Burd (better known as rapper Lil Dicky) on his journey to prove himself as a rapper. What he lacked in swag, he made up for in barz, yo! Clearly, I should stick to blogging. Although Dave isn’t exactly biographical, Lil Dicky did recruit many of his real-life friends to come on as cameos and play themselves in the show. Season one featured celebs like Marshmello, Justin Bieber, and Kourtney Kardashian, and rumor has it that Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber will be joining the party this time around, as Dave embarks on his next venture: the making of his debut album. TBD if the album will be any good. But as far as the new season goes, I’m willing to bet that it’ll be even more hilariously brilliant than the last.
Stream it via Hulu.
‘Lupin Pt 2’
Watch this if you love a French accent (qui qui!):
And another return of a great show! Everyone’s favorite ~world-famous gentleman thief and master of disguise~ is back for another season! The French hit Lupin only landed on Netflix this January, but the streaming Gods must have heard our prayers because it’s already returned with even bigger and better heists. When we last left our dear super sleuth aka Arsène Lupin aka Assane Diop aka Omar Sy aka the Most Beautiful Man Alive and My Future Husband, his son had just been kidnapped by none other than the same man responsible for Assane’s father’s death. Now, he’ll stop at nothing to avenge his father and get his son back, even if it means pulling off his riskiest scheme yet. Come for the high-stakes mischief, stay for Omar Sy’s winning smile. Seriously, if that man so much as flashed those pearly whites in my direction it’d be over. You want my finest jewels? Sure. Social Security number? Well, the last person to steal my credit card info (thank you random Chevron in Las Vegas) was able to drain my checking account in just one trip to Del Taco and the local Party City, but sure, it’s all yours bb!!
Stream it via Netflix.

‘The Other Black Girl’ by Zakiya Dalila Harris
Read this for a thriller that’s not always what it seems:
Two years into being the only Black employee at the prestigious Wagner publishing house, Nella is overjoyed when new-hire and “Other Black Girl” Hazel-May begins working at the agency. She immediately brings Hazel under her wing, filling her in on all of the carefully cultivated tips and tricks she’d picked up during her time there. But soon, Hazel outgrows Nella and becomes a fast favorite amongst their white peers, seemingly forgetting all about Nella and their initial bond. Not to mention the threatening notes Nella begins receiving around the same time as Hazel’s hire… Could Hazel be behind the notes? Or are there even darker forces at play? Twists and turns lie within every chapter in this satirical thriller that’s sure to keep you hooked up until the very last page!
